Signs you are a young adult

I am preparing a set of three 2-hour workshops on young adults and such for a big event on Saturday.  As any self-respecting young adult would be doing the following is going on simultaneously:

  • Watching super hero movies on TV
  • Tracking Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and email
  • Going through polling data, research, and various articles I took notes on
  • Revising outlines
  • Making the perfect cup of tea
  • Contemplating what I should make for lunch and if making homemade peanut butter chocolate treats qualify as a healthy, nutritious lunch (peanut butter has protein and chocolate is a bean, right?)

I feel he is giving me the evil eye. Like he’s saying “I dare you to try biting my ears off.” He could also be part of the chocolate bunny mafia. Or if he’s a she then part of the “Real Housewives of Watership Down” cast. (Taken with instagram)

Why I love my job

Today is an average day.  To demonstrate this, allow me to share the contents of my tote bag with you:

  • Item One: Macbook
  • Item Two: Harry Potter DVD
  • Item Three: Hardbound copy of The Hunger Games
  • Item Four: Excedrin (okay, so this could be the exception)
  • Items Five and up: Mutiple colors of Sharpies

Yup, all good things.  Using Harry Potter tonight in youth group.  Having to read and take notes on The Hunger Games for the book club the teens asked me to lead.  Macbook is just the best option to do all the media work and it weights 2.3 lbs.

Definitely. I love my job.
